Man, I’m really not good at this blog-post-a-day thing, am I?

Yesterday, I really couldn’t find much of the time or energy to put up an entry. We had a longer than usual day. As you may have read from my “Eight Random Facts” post, the ‘88 Oldsmobile failed the emissions test for AZ. So, we decided to get rid of the car, since the value of the car is less than what it would take to fix it, and the car is paid off anyways. Before this, I had been driving that car, while Christine was driving my Cavalier because she has farther to drive and it’s a newer car and has air conditioning to boot (a necessity in the hottest part of the world).

Well, her parents, fortunately, wanted to find a buyer for their 2001 Grand Prix. This is what we call great timing. Yesterday, we finalized the donation of the Olds to the Salvation Army, and went to her parent’s house to finalize the sale of their car to us. I’ll post pictures tomorrow, hopefully.

Needless to say, the Grand Prix will be in Christine’s name, not even joint with me. I opted out because I felt that I had my own car and that the car she was getting should be hers alone. I’ll help with the payments if and when needed, like the good hubby that I am. It’s just good to have my ‘99 Chevy Cavalier back for driving to my work. I cleaned the car out this afternoon; it desperately needed a good wipe, trash pitch and vacuum! After the cleaning, I cleaned her new-old car’s back window… and then affixed a Apple logo sticker to both back windows in the lower right corner. It actually looks cool; not at all tacky or overtly consumerist! I originally just wanted my car alone to have the sticker, but she heard about what I was planning and wanted one too. Of course. ;)

Me with beer!Right now, I’m just relaxing while typing this out and having a Sam Adams’ Cream Stout. I also opened an account with Last.fm, because the iLike service I was using is no longer compatible with Leopard, due to problems with Adobe’s Flash technology (not iLike’s fault at all). I’ll talk more about this tomorrow.

Cheers!

BuddyandmeDrat! I forgot to make a post yesterday. I’m sorry. I really thought I could keep up with that pace. Then again, I think I burned myself out yesterday when I wrote a lengthy comment on the NFP Blog in response to their article on the childfree lifestyle. I was in rare form, I will say that much. Not to worry; I didn’t attack anyone or resort to name calling.

I know I said I would pick apart the article on national privacy that I wrote about two entries (three days) ago. I may do that, but then again I think that many people are (hopefully) speaking their minds in full force outrage over it.

Right now, I’m tired. I didn’t eat much of a dinner; I was just not hungry for some unknown reason. Maybe I snacked too late, but it wasn’t much really. Time to rest and hopefully feel better tomorrow.

AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!

I’ve been tagged by a non-blogger with… with… wh, wh, with… A MEME!!

I won’t say who it was here (gee, thanks M——-!), but I’ll abide by it anyways. [sigh!]

Before I get into that though, I have had one weird week pass me by! Topping it off was me having to help with a bit of training for someone who holds my former position at work (this was cool), being the comic relief for my co-worker (good and not so good), and falling… get this… up the stairs at home (just not cool). Not only that, but today I got to have Christine’s Oldsmobile (the one I drive to work regularly) fail the emissions test. Also, back home after that, I walked over to our mailbox and ended up getting stung by a fire-ant on my right big toe! Still throbbing after 7 hours!

Ok, rant done! Now on to the meme…

1) I lost my keychain Rubik’s cube a couple of weeks ago. Bummer!
2) I’ve been biting my nails more frequently. I haven’t moved on to other people’s nails. Yet.
3) I actually enjoyed the Spongebob Squarepants Movie.
4) I think of myself as a JOATMON. Whether I actually am or not is currently the subject of intense debate.
5) I’m such a procrastinator, I sometimes procrastinate about procrastinating.
6) I managed to shave off 30 seconds from my Rubik’s Revenge solve.
7) I often fantasize about what would happen if Sam Kinison were running the Membership/Refunds desk at my work.
8) I have a phobia about having phobias.

The rules of the meme state I have to pass this on to eight bloggers, who now have to write eight facts and habits about themselves. They, in turn, have to pass it on to another eight. Now to pass this meme on to the following individuals: Goldmourn, Captain Picard, Sebaz, Britgirl, Nicci and Solitude! Sorry guys and gals, but that’s the rules. However, it does say I have to pass it on to eight bloggers, but I only really know six. That will have to do. Muaaaahahaaahahahaaaahehehe… erm… [cough]… sorry.

Cheers!

We’re on Day 3 of the new operating system and so far things are good. Except for just now. It seems Christine has experienced her very first “kernel panic”. These are rare and I think we’ll see even less occurrences of this bad boy when Apple posts the next couple of system updates. (Click here for more “kernel panic” info… very interesting stuff!)

Speaking of helping her out, I discovered a neat-o thing that they decided to give Leopard users: Screen Sharing! This feature was only previously available on OS 10.4 Server, called Remote Access. I actually took control of her screen and even started this blog entry using her computer, but controlling it through mine! This is going to be great, especially when we’re both on the computers and she’s asking me for help with something. Although it is nice to actually get up and go to help her physically. :D

Well, until tomorrow! C-ya!

Just when I thought that 320 GB hard drive was big enough for Time Machine backups and my iTunes library, I find out that both used up nearly 120 GB’s of the space! Wow!

You just never know how much music, movies and pictures you actually have until you’re looking at the raw numbers. 16 GB of audio, 14 GB of movies and vid clips, 10 GB (roughly) of ST:Voyager and Doctor Who episodes (and that’s not including the episodes that TM backed up that aren’t converted for iTunes/iPod use!) and 2 GB of pictures. All the other GB’s include vidcasts that I made, including the raw data (iMovie files can be huge suckers!) and other PhotoShop and media projects.

Maybe I should have gotten that 500 gig drive after all!
