I just updated my photo gallery with some new pictures! These were uploaded from my phone recently and I thought to share them with you all. I just wanted to make a single post out of this, complete with the thumbnail images, so I wouldn’t have to make a new post for each subject. So, let’s take a gander at ‘em:

Whew! That took a lot of code, even with WordPress’ automatic code editing! Click on each picture to see the original version, along with captions.

The first picture is a view from my car driving south down Avondale Avenue. I loved the view of the mountains. It just looks so tranquil! The next two pics came from me playing around with the 3×3x3 cube and stumbling upon the best scramble you could possibly get. No single color is paired up with the same on another cubie next to it. This is actually a hard permutation to get to; just try it sometime. The last one is me sharing a cute moment with Thommen, our Eclectus parrot, while getting ready to give him a shower.

Everyone enjoy!

Just like yesterday, I was just reading through the RSS feeds for CNN when I came across another article that hits home for me:

Hey you, with the iPod…keep it down – CNN.com

That article brings me to list some rules for public iPod etiquette. It’s not a long list, by any means. Feel free to agree or disagree, but it may save your life, or at least your reputation as a good citizen…

1) In any social situations, keep the volume down to where you can actually join the outside world on a moment’s notice. No one likes being ignored if they’re simply trying to get your attention, and it may save your life, too! Also, others can hear your music when you have it cranked, even through the head/earphones; there’s no need to share your music with the world around you.

2) If someone does want to talk to you when you’re listening to that awesome track, take the damn earphones OFF!! Don’t just keep them on and lower the volume; that’s just plain rude.

3) For everyone’s sake, DO NOT SING ALONG to the music. Remember Eddie Murphy’s character in “48 Hours”? “Rooooooxaaaannne!!! Youdonthavetoputonaredlight!!” While being comical, it’s sure to make at least one person want to drive a six inch spike through your ribcage.

Gratuitous Rule 4) If someone does happen to see what you’re playing and they want to listen too, by all means please take one of the earbuds off and let them listen. (I have a earphone splitter with me just in those cases!)

iPods are awesome personal tools, but they don’t have to be used at the detriment of social etiquette. Listen responsibly, and have fun! Cheers!
