Well, it’s now a week later after packing and unpacking the moving truck. 95% of all we own is now at the new house. We just have odds and ends to worry about at the apartment, along with some massive cleanup work. Yesterday, I did some heavy-duty spackle jobs on the walls and ceiling. Man, I didn’t think we were capable of making so many holes!

There’s still lots of unpacking to do. After that, then the real work of truly personalizing our home begins. That will be a long-term project! So far, I’ve had some misadventures with blinds and ceiling fans that I’d rather not tell about right now, due to embarrasment. I’ll just let your imaginations run wild on that note!

I also made a new video this morning; Part 2 of Our New Home! That’s the direct link for the video, since I haven’t officially put it in the Video Gallery page yet. Check it out now, and I’ll write sometime later next week… maybe even sooner!

Cheers!

PS: One more thing: Christine and I celebrated our Five Year Anniversary yesterday! We somehow knew we’d last this long. ;) We also know that there will be many, many more good years to come!

Me in Sox cap!Well, over half if not most of everything is ready for the move. Today, I’ll be spending the rest of my free time getting the rest of what we have left over packed up. Draining the waterbed and disassembling it is not going to be fun, for sure. Also, all computer equipment will be boxed up. :(

Needless to say, due to the chaos around here (not to mention my regular job), I haven’t be able to write here for awhile. There will be another long duration between this and the next post. I found out yesterday that internet connection will be an issue at the new home until Cox can get out there and set it up for the area. Oh, the joy and uncertainty and stress of moving to a new place! I’ll hate not being able to do much of anything online for awhile.

On a good note, we were told that the keys are ready for us! :D Also, it seems that the ever-efficient USPS is now forwarding our mail to the new home. Things are going according to plan, but we have to get a move on things (no pun intended!).

On that note, the next post will be written here after our move and after eveything is at least semi-situated. Until I can write again, everyone please say some prayers for us. We’ll need all the help we can get! :)

Cheers to all, especially the ones who have been very supportive of our efforts here! I love you all!!
