Apps and Movies
Couple of things on my mind as I get ready to turn in for the night. I guess you’d call it a review and a preview. Here we have:
Review: Delicious Library
Lately, I’ve been looking for a good catalogue app for mainly the many CD’s that we have between the wife and I. The reason why is because, while I now have the storage capacity to digitize ALL of our music, there is no real reason to. iTunes is great as a catalogue and jukebox, but I like having it synched to the iPod; I’ve been slowly turning into a convenience freak. So I needed a database solution. Enter Delicious Library. This little app turned my iSight into a barcode reader, which read the bars on my cds and pulled info from all sorts of sources and made database entries out of them! I downloaded a database app an hour earlier before trying Delicious, and it was good but nowhere near the quality and ease of use. $30 of my next paycheck is going to this, especially since it keeps track of all books and movies in your collection. Neat!
Preview: Transformers
This is a little late in the news, but it’s worth a mention. I’m elated that Dreamworks is making the live-action movie version of The Transformers that I loved so much when I was a youngin’. I’m following the news on this at least every two weeks, just to see if any good pics have leaked! The way the movie is preliminarily shaping up, it may be fun for even the non-fans to get into it. Well, only time will tell, won’t it?
Gotta go now. Will write again tomorrow! ![]()
