A few posts ago (gee, like “many moons ago”?!), I wrote about a new account I have with MySpace.com, a friend networking site. Well, I was just introduced to SuperSociety.com a couple of mere days ago. After my experience on this new friend network, even though it’s in beta and they’re still working out the bugs, it definitely gives MySpace a run for it’s money (both services are free). A profile with SuperSociety, compared to a Myspace profile, has very little missing but there’s a heck of a lot more features.

I’m a big music person, as everyone knows by now, and MySpace only lets band profiles have their music up. With SuperSociety, any profile has music capability! Also, your profile page can be customized so that only registered friends can see items you restrict from the rest of the internet (such as IM handles and phone numbers).

If my good experience with this keeps up, I may nix the MySpace account altogether! Click here to visit my profile at SuperSociety.com!

PS: Sebastian, if you’re reading this, you should check it out as well. I wouldn’t mind having you as a friend on there.

I’m home after surgry. I’m competely out of it. stay tuned!

Update 9:15 pm: Ugh!! I’m in paaaaaaaaiiiiiiin! One thing’s for sure, applesauce is great, but I’m going to be starving tomorrow!

An excellent drug they prescribed me, to be taken before surgery, is Alprazolam (Xanax is the brand name). It’s an anti-anxiety drug, and boy, did it work! I was never so chilled out in my recent life. I highly suggest it for people who are afraid of flying or other things. The wife said I was a grinning idiot thirty minutes before surgery!

I’ll write again tomorrow!

That’s the title of the late Cliff Burton’s famous bass solo in Metallica’s “Kill ‘Em All” album.

I’ll be trying to think of this and other happy thoughts when I go in for oral surgery today. I’m having my right-side wisdom teeth taken out. I’ve never had to have any surgery in my life and I’ve never been knocked unconscious, with anesthesia or otherwise. I may be overreacting when I say… help me!.

Wish me luck and good health. A side note: I can’t eat or drink anything eight hours before this thing, so I’m really bummed right now. Those who know me know how much I love to eat!

I’ve so wanted to get into the podcasting craze for awhile. I had my reservations before, but I’ve found my experiments in recording my thoughts in voice (and making it available for all to hear) rather cathartic. The only problem is… not much free media space available to me on the ‘net. Enter Castpost. They work with you in making your audiocasts and vidcasts available for all to hear and see.

Did I mention it’s free??

Check out my first entry on my Castpost page. It’s my Experiment 2.5 song from last year. I’ll be making more podcasts (or audiocasts, same thing!) when I feel the need to have a voice with family and friends. Click the link and take care!

Update 4/3/06: My Castpost page is down, and my gut feeling is telling me that said host isn’t going to shake off intermittent problems in the future. They are gracious in letting one have some HTML code to post clips elsewhere. Consider this another test:

This is just the worst prank on any Beatles fan…

MacDailyNews – Special Edition Beatles iPod

I read this and thought “My mom would LOVE this. What a cool gift idea for her birthday!”. (Well, my dad is anti-Apple, so no chance of him getting something like that for her, even if I met him halfway on it.) Then I find out it’s an April Fool joke!

This post goes hand-in-hand with my “Apple vs. Apple” post. Adding to this, I really wish that these two companies could settle their differences so that this faux article could possibly become a reality. Hey, if U2 and Madonna can have their own themed iPods, why should the Fab Four be left out of the love? Imagine the entire Beatles catalog of music, including all of their studio outtakes and rarities, all pre-loaded on a specially decorated iPod and sold at a package price! That’s my .02ยข on this.
