Haven’t written in a while for two reasons. One is because I wanted time for my last two postings to be read by everyone (yes, it’s that important to me!). Two is because, at work, my team and I weathered the “storm” of the last two months and we’re getting ready to file everything away next week and start anew. Before that, I’m out of hours for the week so I told my boss I won’t be coming in tomorrow. Added to that, I don’t work the weekends unless there is a special circumstance involved… aaaaaand Monday is Labor Day!

So, I have a mini-vacation on my hands. I haven’t had a true two day off interval in a while, at least not what I’m normally used to since I’ve had to work all these crazy hours/shifts. I’ll work on my next podcast tomorrow, do some chores around the house (like the paper filing I haven’t done in four months!!), play with the birds and bunny, fix up that turkey melt sandwich I’ve had a hankering for lately. My little piece of the world will feel weird and wonderful.

I will have to go to work just to purchase a coule of things though… bummer! I’ll try not to talk about work with my only remaining co-worker if I see her; she’s by herself tomorrow. The other co-worker on my team starts her week vacation tomorrow. Wow… my whole team will have fallen apart for a day! Next week’s work will be a little rough, but I’ll manage. My wife is just glad to have her husband back after the last month of hell at work!

(yawn) Well, time for my head to hit pillow. Before that, I may work on some audio elements for that podcast, and also cruise the ‘net for a while longer. Or work on that music video of one of our birds…. I have too many hobbies!
