In a previous post, I talked about iPods. I, personally, am grateful for this tecnology that gives us all the ability to take all of our listening tastes with us wherever we go! I’ve heard that some people even NAME their iPods!! I’m not that overboard… it’s just a useful gadget, not a companion! That being said, I thought it’d be fun if I let everyone know just what I listen to. I believe you can tell a little about a person by what their tastes are (not applicable to all personalities; some restrictions apply!). Let’s dive in:

Maybe it’s because I had to be at work at three in the morning. Maybe it’s because I had practically no energy when I got home. Maybe it’s my realization that I’d better pick ONE hobby to indulge myself in, instead of diversifying! Maybe it’s reliance on “toys” to provide amusement in my life instead of the simpler things.

Maybe it’s just not a good day…

A question for everyone here who visits regularly or not: If I started broadcasting a mix of everything (and I do mean different genres) in my library of music as a internet radio stream, who would really listen? I originally thought, a while back, that it’d be cool to have a streaming application set up just in case the wife an I go on vacation somewhere and we wanted to listen to the music we have saved at home. Well, the acquisitioning of iPods for me and her blew that idea out of the water. Still, it may not be a bad idea in itself. What do you think? Post your comment here…

I’m using one of the different features of this blog site: Email
blogging! So I’m writing this email, while at the same time watching a Steve Jobs 4th Quarter speech on QuickTime and listening to music on iTunes. Mind you, I’m not making a “Apple is better than PC” whine/speech, because that’s everyone’s preference. I’m simply marvelling at the technology that’s now available to us all. Imagine what’s to come!

Update: Whooooeee! It worked!

Well, I haven’t posted anything lately because it’s been a little crazy in my home and work life, but now things are slowing down. Thank God! I really don’t have much reason to say alot. Emily, the amazing (and for now hormonal and territorial) cockatiel has produced 5 more eggs since we threw the other ones out, so now we’re back to wait-and-see. Yesterday, had to pay both state and federal taxes (uuuhhhh… what… the heck… just hit… me?). Lesson learned with that: look at paystubs every so often and calculate, calculate, calculate! My work has gotten better, so I’m not going harum-scarum every Thursday and Friday, though I’m still dealing with the same headaches. Every week is “hmmm… another $1000 problem to try and fix!” and it gets a little old. Haven’t done much with my hobbies in either music or graphics; just haven’t really sat down to do anything enjoyable except play with the birds and bunny, and listen to music.

Speaking of which, it’s a good thing I have those link banners on “Cool Links” for two bands I’m still digging, even after two months of listening to them. Theocracy is great christian metal for those who like music along the lines of early Queensrÿche and perennial Iron Maiden, except with more of an epic feel! But… get this… one man did all of the work on the debut album!! I’d encourage everyone, even those who don’t like the genre, to check out the site and the music and see what one guy had the drive and determination to do by himself. Sonata Arctica is some good prog/epic metal from Finland, who just get better and better with every album. My all-time favorite group was Dream Theater, but I got both DT and SA’s last albums around the same time and I only like a few of DT’s songs off theirs, compared to SA’s latest which I love every song! Moral: New blood in any genre of music can be a great thing! :D

Well, I’ve said all I can say so far. I’m looking forward to a good night, a busy weekend, and a better week at work. Oh, one more thing. Pull your ear closer… that’s good… ok… 14 more days until Mac OS 10.4 “Tiger” is unleashed!! I’ll still wait a little longer to see if there’s any problems with this version before I consider getting it. I’ll write again soon.
