I put the link in my “Funny Stuff” section in the page’s sidebar, but it also warrants its own post, too. You’ve got to see this amazing African Grey parrot that was on a “Pet Star” segment. These birds have an awesome vocal ability! Please click here to see this parrot in action (DISREGARD… the movie file on that site has been pulled (3/10/05))! BTW… our Eclectus parrot, Thommen, is getting up there in his own vocab. He actually said “I’m sorry” to us in a clear, distinct voice when he objected to being let down onto a perch!

Emily Update (10pm): She has produced (I hate the term “laid”) a fifth egg!! Still guarding them with her life, so I couldn’t take pictures. Will post more soon, I threaten!

Usually I work at Glendale… last week, I had to work at Avondale. Today I had to work at Scottsdale. Tomorrow, I’ll be in Phoenix, next week Monday it’s Gilbert, and on the 21st I’ll be in Tuscon. All I have to say about it is… I feel like I’m in a pinball machine!!

New pics of Emily, after lunch and a bath, sitting on her clutch of four eggs (you can click the pics here to see full-size ones!). We took the second pic while she was eating. Even though she knows us well, she is still very defensive about those eggies and is even going so much as to defend the cage from intruders! On a side note, I like this blog thingy… this is the fastest time I’ve ever had to put new pics up on a site. 10 minutes, and that’s only because I had to replace the batteries in the mouse!

Well? Did you read the post before this, or did you just come from my (dismantled) Esoterik Graphics site? Now it’s one less thing for me to worry about tending to. Like I said there, if I feel the need to display something I’ll post it here, or a least a link to whatever site has it. If I make some more graphics work, ResExcellence will probably be the place. Emily (our female cockatiel) just bore a third egg and is now sitting pretty on them. Christine checked her and said there may be at least two more coming!! Like I said in my previous post, we don’t know how this is all going to pan out… as in we may or may not have baby ‘tiels on our hands soon. Alex, the male housed with her, isn’t what we’d call the bright one! More posts as the news comes… UPDATE 3/5/05: She’s laid a fourth egg!! Will she ever stop? Are they fertile? Stay tuned for the continuing saga…

On a side note, I have been thinking of stripping down my old site (Esoterik Graphics) in favor of just keeping the blog up. This is so much easier to maintain than having to update a site through continuous uploads and tweaking with Word (all I’ve been using to run the HTML). Besides, the desktop/wallpaper art that I was doing was a creative phase borne out of Photoshop and Bryce 5 tinkering. At least I got to know what I can do creatively in that direction. For now, I’m going back to my first love… music… listening to it, creating it, playing it. More my element.
